This self-paced continuing education activity is designed to support nurses in cultivating presence and practicing open-hearted nursing through evidence-informed breath practices and reflective inquiry. The course addresses the impact of stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout on nursing practice and offers practical strategies to support emotional regulation, nurse wellbeing, and compassionate patient care. Learning Outcomes - Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to: - Define open-hearted nursing. - Identify three reasons open-hearted nursing is essential to nurse wellbeing and patient care. -Describe key characteristics of open-hearted nursing practice. -Identify two barriers to providing open-hearted nursing care. -Apply at least two breath practices to support presence, emotional regulation, and compassionate care. Session Details: This self-paced session is the seventh of twelve in the CODE YOU Wholistic Wellbeing series and is worth 1 CE hour.
